John is an Emmy award-winning editor who's been cutting all sorts of documentary and factual films and TV programmes for the past 20 years, after originally starting his career in the world of TV commercials in London. 

 

He’s edited shows for all the major British broadcasters including the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and Sky, and since 2021 has also been working in Sydney, making award-winning programmes for the ABC, SBS, Netflix, Network 10 and Discovery.

He also works in branded content, and has edited online films and commercials for brands including Canon, the V&A Museum, ArcelorMittal, Red Bull and Infiniti.

 

Career highlights include winning an Emmy in 2022 for his editing on 'Love On The Spectrum US' (Netflix), and the documentaries ‘Vicky McClure: Our Dementia Choir’ (BBC 1) and ‘Crime and Punishment’ (Channel 4) both being nominated for Best Factual Series at the BAFTA TV Awards. His work has also been shortlisted for Royal Television Society, Grierson Trust and Broadcast awards.
